Men's soccer and men's golf named NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year
The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced the 2024-2025 Academic Teams of the Year. These are the programs that achieved the highest GPA in their respective sport throughout the academic year.
For Emory Oxford, the men's soccer team and men's golf team were awarded with the honor of Academic Teams of the Year for this year. Every eligible team at Emory Oxford was in the top 10 this year.
For men's soccer, this is the fifth time in six years the team has been named Academic Team of the Year. The team finished with a 3.67 GPA. Men's golf finished with a 3.83 GPA.
Men's basketball (3.62) and men's cross country (3.69) finished in second place. Men's tennis (3.8) finished in third. Women's cross country (3.71) and women's soccer (3.67) finished in sixth place. Women's tennis (3.72) finished in eighth.
In order to make the list, a team has to have a GPA over 3.0. This is the 13th consecutive year all teams have maintained a 3.2 GPA or higher.
