Your Oxford Eagles, having built it's largest lead of the night just 5 minutes into the 2nd Half at 50-30, saw Reinhardt storm back to snatch away victory from our squad. Thanks to some untimely turnovers, frigid shooting, and foul trouble for both Oxford "Bigs", Wickham and Mosso, the always young Eagles were unable to right the ship and dropped an 82-73 decision.
Led in scoring by Sophomore Robbie Wainio with 18 points and Freshman Zane Patel having 12 points, the Eagles fought hard despite a 2-1 deficit on the offensive glass and the real culprit, 16 more turnovers than their opponent.
This contest served notice that the game is never in hand until time expires. Look for the Eagles to learn and bounce back from this moving forward.
