Head Coach Stubbs always says, "making more free throws than your opponent attempts usually leads to a win", and when the Eagles shoot at an 80% clip, that seals the deal.
Placing 3 Eagles in double figure scoring led by Kyle Brown with 21, Ryan Kwong with 19 (5-8 from 3 point range), and Sean Wickham's double double of 17 points and 12 rebounds helped the Eagles maintain their halftime lead and hold off a good Tn Wesleyan squad from Athens, Tennessee.
Taking care of the basketball is a priority and Oxford only committed 11 turnovers. Also, sharing the ball was evident as 17 of the Eagles 25 field goals came via assist. And finally, with a goal of seven made 3 pointers a game, Oxford had 8 led by Kwong with those five, as sted earlier.
Next up for Oxford College is Georgia Gwinnett Monday night at Home; Tipoff is 7:30pm at Williams Gym.
