Men’s Basketball Wins Big in Season Opener
The Oxford College of Emory University men's basketball team opened the season up with a 38-point victory over the Chargers of Georgia Highlands College Reserve Squad.
The Eagles were led by sophomore Sean Osei, who scored 21 points on 9-of-12 shooting. Classmate Nick Hardin finished with 17 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Hardin also shot 8-of-13 from the field. Sophomore Isaac Snyder scored 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting while grabbing seven rebounds. Rounding out the double-figure scorers, freshman Zuri Greene scored 12 points with six rebounds.
Game Facts:
- The Eagles shot an impressive 55.4% (41-74) from the field while holding the Chargers to 27.1% (19-70).
- Oxford dominated inside, outsourcing Georgia Highlands 52 to 20.
- The Eagles forced the Chargers to 23 turnovers which led to 22 points.
The Eagles will have a two-game road trip as they travel up to North Carolina to play on Friday, November 4th, against Anne Arundel Community College. They will also play Shooting 4 Greatness Academy on Saturday, November 5th. Both games will be played at Sandhills Community College in Pinehurst, NC.
