Men's Basketball Defeats Cougars; Will Play for Regional Championship on Sunday
The Oxford College of Emory University men's basketball team earned a huge win in the opening round of its conference tournament on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Central Carolina Community College Cougars 71-63.
Sophomore forward Isaac Snyder led the way with 26 points, 17 rebounds, and three blocks, shooting an efficient 12-16 from the field. Sophomore guard Sean Osei contributed 19 points and six rebounds, helping to ice the game with clutch free throws in the closing minutes. Sophomore Nick Hardin added 10 points, five rebounds, and six assists to give the Eagles three double-figure scorers. Freshman guard Ryan Kim finished with 8 points and eight rebounds off the bench, while sophomores KJ Walker and Justin Whitening each had five assists and three steals.
