Atlanta, Ga. - The Emory Oxford men's basketball played at the Woodruff Physical Education Center (WoodPEC) on Emory's Atlanta campus for the first time. The team played Oglethorpe University JV and defeated the visitors 89-74.
The Eagles got off to a quick 5-0 run to begin the game and held the lead until the end. Emory Oxford had a 47-33 lead at halftime, and led by as much as 20 points toward the end of the game.
Sophomores Leo Etah and Ved Desai both had double-doubles for the Eagles. Etah scored 25 points and had 10 rebounds, while Desai had 22 points and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Adeniyi Ogunlana had 14 points and nine rebounds. First-year Alex Straser had five rebounds.
Emory Oxford next faces Action Sports Academy at home on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m.
