Men's basketball beats Reinhardt University JV 94-67
Oxford, Ga. - The Emory Oxford men's basketball easily defeated the visiting Reinhardt University JV 94-67 at home.
The Eagles got off to a slow start and found themselves down early. But midway through the first, Oxford found its stride and dominated for the rest of the game. The Eagles led by 19 at halftime and led by 36 points halfway through the second.
Sophomore Leo Etah led the teams in scoring with 23 points. He also had four steals. First-year Alex Straser scored a career-high 19 points, including five 3-pointers. Straser had four blocks as well. Also in the double digits for the Eagles was sophomore Ved Desai. He had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. The Eagles shot 81.3% from the free throw line.
This is Oxford's third win in four games. The team is now 10-6 overall.
The Eagles next play at home in the annual Dennis Spruell Classic on Saturday, Jan. 17 against Patrick & Henry Community College at 2 p.m.
