Oxford, Ga. - The Emory Oxford men's basketball team dominated the visiting West Academy by a score of 101-45.
The Eagles started out the game on a 9-0 run and did not look back. Oxford led 57-28 at the half, and kept West Academy to 17 points in the second. Toward the end of the game, the biggest lead Oxford held was 62 points.
Nearly every Eagle that played scored at least two points. Sophomore Ved Desai led Oxford with 28 points. Early in the game, Desai scored 12 straight points for the Eagles. Sophomore Leo Etah had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Classmate Jason Kim had 13 assists. First-year Alex Straser had 13 points and seven rebounds.
The Eagles next play on the road against Tidewater Community College on Friday, Feb. 13 at 5 p.m. in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
