Cross country competes at Berry College meet
Mt. Berry, Ga. - The men's and women's cross country teams ran in a meet hosted by Berry College.
The men's team finished in eighth place, with one runner finishing 25th out of nearly 100 runners, among athletes from NCAA Division II Morehouse College and Division III Berry College. First-year David Henri finished with a time of 28:54.8.
Also finishing in the top half of runners for the Eagles was first-year James Wang with a time of 29:58.7. First-year Tejin Mehta ran a time of 31:57.7 for Emory Oxford. Also competing for the Eagles were sophomores Sam Birkner and Derek Fusco and first-years Dai Dilci and Keith Dai.
For the women, Alison Balbuena-Huamancaja finished with a time of 31:03.4. Sophomores Christina Tsarampari (31:11.5) and Indiana Smith-Incer (31:13.5) were not far behind. Sophomores Giana Jung, Pavani Reddy, and Ella Bjorkman also ran for the Eagles.
Emory Oxford will run next at the Upstate Invitational in South Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 18.
