Half-Day Hikes/Mini-Trips
Escape from campus! These trips are perfect for those who just want to get away for a relaxed, half-day hiking trip. They are small and within 90 minutes of Oxford. They last roughly from 9 a.m. until about 3 p.m., though some trips can be scheduled to leave later in the morning and get back later in the day. These trips are an opportunity to get away from campus, enjoy the outdoors and catch a pretty view! These will be limited to 6-8 students plus 2-3 staff members. There is no cost to an individual and transportation and meals will be taken care of.

Sweetwater Creek State Park |
Sweetwater Creek State Park is a beautiful and peaceful wilderness area located in Lithia Springs, Georgia, just minutes from downtown Atlanta. The park spans 2,549 acres and is named after Sweetwater Creek, which runs through it. |

Amicalola Falls State Park |
Amicalola Falls State Park is located in Dawsonville, Georgia, and is known for its stunning 729-foot waterfall, the highest in the state. The name "Amicalola" comes from a Cherokee word meaning "tumbling waters." For this trip, we will walk over 600 steps to the top of the waterfall. |

This trip will be to Central Rock Gym, a premier rock climbing and bouldering facility. This is open to all individuals and no experience is required. |
