The Emory Oxford men's soccer team flew past the Fighting Tigers of Andrew College, winning 12-1 at home on Tuesday night. Despite the early rain, the Eagles won their third straight game to improve to 5-2-1.
Sophomore Ryan Scholte led the Eagles with four goals and added an assist. Sophomores Max Troilo and Thomas Ehlers each contributed two goals in the victory. Fellow sophomores Gyul Kim and Maxwell Shumway each scored one goal, as well as freshmen Haensel Kehoe and Minghan Cui.
Match Facts:
- Shumway had a team-high three assists in the match.
- The Eagles had 27 shots, including 23 on goal against Andrew.
- Scholte now sits T-2nd in the national rankings for most goals in the season.
This concludes the regular season for the men's soccer team. They will have a few scrimmages before competing in the District Playoffs starting on October 27th in Maryland.
